Incorporation
June 2002After several years in the aviation industry, a young, dynamic entrepreneur, decided to take his love for technology to the next level. Riding on only the power of his unique vision, Mohammed Al Bawi established Iridium Plus Technologies, a web design and development company that would exclusively focus its services on solutions related to web technology.
The first Iridium plus office, run by only two individuals, was tucked away in a humble area of Mirqab, one of Kuwait's most popular commercial districts. Neither Mohammed nor Iridium Plus has looked back since.

Re-defining Our Path
2003In May 2003, Iridium Plus signed with United Arab Shipping company, one of the world's leading carriers. The project took our company in a new direction; one that gave us a wealth of confidence to start building in-house products to enhance business productivity and output for organizations
in Kuwait. Integrating UASC's AS400 mainframes into a comprehensive custom-built content management system, Iridium Plus was able to deliver an international class portal that exceeded UASC business requirements.

Restructuring the Company
August 2004In August 2004, Iridium Plus' management decided to restructure the company to improve processes, productivity, and create philosophies for research and development. Utilising IEEE engineering and business standards, the company was departmentalized to facilitate faster decision making, decentralised KPI's, and enhance team performance.

We Make It a Public Affair
INFOBIZ 2005After sustaining growth and maintaining a healthy project listing, Iplus' leadership decided that the company needed to make itself more visible to its target audience. Being one of the first web services companies in Kuwait to participate in a major technology exhibition, Iridium Plus let its wings fly at INFOBIZ, Kuwait's biggest Information Technology exhibition, in December 2005. Plenty of enquiries, interest and feedback were generated from the event.

Development Breakthrough
Launch of Iplus E-Trade - 2006In August of 2006, Iridium Plus became the first privately owned Kuwaiti company to develop its own J2EE based enterprise stocks trading platform, in-house. Implementing an excellent research and development methodology, coupled with timely project and resource management, Iridium Plus officially launched Iplus Etrade for Union Securities Brokerage Company.

Strength through partnership
The Axinom Story - 2006Iridium Plus' custom content management system (CMS-Plus) that sold for years and helped many businesses succeed online, was to be replaced with the stronger, faster, more robust AxCMS.net. In Nov 2006, Iridium Plus signed an exclusive international business partnership with Axinom, one of Germany's leading.NET developers, to provide Kuwait and the
The Middle East with enterprise, publishing workflow-based, content management. AxCMS.net is now being used by Public Authority for Advanced Education and Training, Marina Mall, Kirby (Alghanim), Al Anbaa Newspaper, Boubyan Bank and a host of other big companies.

Regional Goals
2007After experiencing strong growth and sustained performance, senior management decided to change the name of Iridium Plus to National Web Solutions Co.- Mawaqaa. The strategic move came in 2007 and as a result of a revitalised focus to become a regional leader in web related services. Mawaqaa, which means "website" in Arabic will now serve as an inspiring reminder to all our employees and customers that the web is a serious business channel and it is here to stay.
